Caleb's TRAVEL blog

December 12th

Hi, everyone! My name's Caleb, and this is my new blog. It's all about travel — one of the most exciting experiences that anyone can ever have!

I'm 14 years old and I'm from New Mexico in the United States. I'm lucky because I have a big family and I have cousins in different parts of the country, so I've been on vacation for free a lot of times! Let me tell you about some of my trips.

Two summers ago, I went to New York City to stay with my aunt and uncle. It was my first time there. We visited so many places, but my favorite was The High Line. It's an old railroad that is now an amazing, beautiful park.

I've visited some other famous places in the United States, too, like the Grand Canyon. Actually, that isn't too far from my home, and I've been there a few times. I never get tired of the view.

Last year, I went camping with my cousin Oliver and his friends in Washington State in the north of the U.S., where they live. It's so different up there — everything is green and it usually rains a lot! We were lucky — we slept in a tent for four days and it didn't rain once.

My next trip is to Colorado! I'm going to drive there with my parents during the winter vacation. We want to visit a ski resort in the Rocky Mountains.

I've climbed a mountain before, but I've never been snowboarding, so I'm really excited about doing that!

In my next blog, I'm going to post about my Colorado trip, but I want to hear about you, too. What cool places have you visited and what exciting experiences have you had? Let me know in the comments below!
